National Master of Ceremony Competition 2019
MCJO Academy’s proudest students had gotten into the TOP 20 Participants for the National Master of Ceremony Competition on the 26th May 2019 in Penang.
It was a record-breaking and exhausting night that ended with a fourth round to finally declare the top three winners of the night.
Our students, Emcee Shelyn , Emcee Kenn and Emcee Ling were the participants who had successfully managed to get through the first round of the online audition.
The National Master of Ceremony Competition and Gala Dinner was organized by the The Federation Of Chinese Associations Malaysia, Penang Chinese Town Hall, Penang Chinese Town Hall Youth and Northern Artist Malaysia Chinese Association.

The intensive semifinals was indefinitely challenging. According to Emcee Ling, she had to do so much of preparations as the competition required them to take reference on the topics that might be coming out during the competition. She prepared all her scripts and ideas way before she headed to Penang. As most of the topics given were real life events, every contestant was required to be fully informed with the current issues and news around.
After a tough match, Emcee Ling and Emcee Kenn were shortlisted to go for the semifinals. The competition was challenging and most of the participants were well equipped with knowledge and skills. It wasn’t an easy competition. Although they did not manage to win the titles, they were satisfied with being shortlisted as the National Top Ten Emcees in the competition.
“Having the privilege to compete at a national level and learning from so many astounding emcees throughout Malaysia was already a big win for me,” said Emcee Ling humbly.
Through taking part in more competitions, it will incredibly heighten the growth and strength of an eloquent speaker on stage. MCJO Academy is wholeheartedly proud of our students’ achievements of their involvement in such esteemed and prestigious competition. We would want to congratulate them as they have taken another huge step forward in achieving their dream of being a professional emcee.
